Do you meet the criteria?
While rules vary from program to program, egg donors working with reputable agencies should expect a host of medical and psychological tests, including a medical exam, blood tests, and screenings for infectious diseases. Potential egg donors must also discuss family medical history in order to identify infectious conditions and psychological disorders that could rule them out as donors.
To be considered as an egg donor through ConceiveAbilities (www.conceivabilities.com), a woman must be, at a minimum:
- 21 to 30 years old
- Physically healthy
- Psychologically healthy
- Dependable, mature, and able to keep appointments
- Willing to be psychologically and physically evaluated by professionals selected by ConceiveAbilities
And have:
- No reported history of substance abuse
- No reported history of infertility
- Not experienced multiple miscarriages
- A history of pregnancy (preferable)
