Intended parents seeking a surrogacy clinic or agency will find that ConceiveAbilities provides access to the highest caliber of surrogates as well as the stability, professionalism and experience necessary to guide them through an often complex process. First and foremost, the role of a surrogate clinic or agency is to get to know you and your needs, and we do our best to accommodate you. The more we know about you and your expectations, the better equipped we are to find the right surrogate mother for you. We will then provide you with a surrogate mother candidate’s profile to review. All surrogate mothers have been screened at our surrogacy clinic in the following capacities:
- Psychological screening for the surrogate and her husband or partner (if applicable) by a licensed mental health professional
- Criminal background check
- Home study
- Pregnancy history/ medical record review by a medical professional
Our exceptional screening and evaluation processes at our surrogate clinic coupled with a reputation built on unparalleled service and knowledge, allow ConceiveAbilities to provide clients the best match possible. Our surrogates are:
- Women that have delivered and are raising at least one child
- Non-smokers, between the ages of 21-40
- Women with uncomplicated pregnancy histories and who enjoy being pregnant
- BMI between 18-30
- In stable and safe living environments
- Women who pass a three point background check
- Not receiving government financial assistance
- Emotionally stable women who love to help others. They are altruistically motivated, but may also find the financial compensation beneficial to help meet their personal goals.
Matching
A surrogacy agency and/or surrogacy clinic’s primary role is to help you match you with a gestational carrier that meets your needs, both medical and personal. At ConceiveAbilities, our mental health professional will sit down with all parties to facilitate the development of this unique relationship. This meeting helps to ensure everyone has similar expectations of this experience. This meeting will also serve as a tool to assist in creating the details to provide attorneys for the development of your legal contract. The ConceiveAbilities team will provide ongoing psychological and emotional support to both the surrogate and the intended parents in-person, over the telephone and online, based on specific needs. Drawing on years of industry and personal experience, the team is available to provide the emotional support required by this very distinct experience. Unlike many surrogate clinics and agencies, our staff can help you make complex decisions while helping you understand the spectrum of emotions common in this journey. At ConceiveAbilities, we understand how these emotions may affect your thoughts about the surrogacy process, your expectations, as well as your reactions to the pregnancy.
We will provide appropriate legal referrals for the development of legal contracts and birth orders or orders of parentage. ConceiveAbilities also work with the escrow company to assure that payments to surrogates are made appropriately.
Our case coordinator will communicate with the IVF clinic, the surrogate, obstetrician and intended parents on a regular basis to ensure that the cycle coordination, pregnancy and plans for delivery are going smoothly. Of course, we are also available should there be any concerns at any point along the way.
Our mental health professional will also coordinate meetings for the surrogate, her husband or partner (if applicable) and the intended parents to discuss the plans for delivery of the baby. Of course no one can plan out every aspect of this special event, but in having a discussion regarding everyone’s expectations for this special day there is a greater chance that this fantastic event will be just as everyone had wished. |
